THE NATIONAL MS SOCIETY...ONE THING PEOPLE WITH MS CAN COUNT ON

news bulletin

Dateline:  February 17, 2000

Join Our Internet Support Group On First Fridays

Thanks to the internet you can get a myriad of goods and services online. Everything from books to imported Angoran sweaters can be had with just a click of a button. Now it is even possible to gain support, update yourself on the latest MS information and connect with your peers online through the Chapter's online support group accessible through this page or by typing in www.mschat.org. Join other area residents with MS for an interactive chat the first Friday of each month at 2:00 p.m.. The chats will feature both open discussion between participants as well as guest speakers on important MS-related topics. Joy Davol (pictured left, in wheelchair), trained support group leader with years of experience, will lead each session. "The Chapter wants to open an avenue of support to others in the Greater Delaware Valley region who have MS, but who are either too shy or too busy to go to one of the many support groups offered," says Judith G. Cohen, Greater Delaware Valley Chapter president.

The Chapter suggests logging onto the chat room at least 15 minutes before the start of each session. If you need assistance, call Gavi at 800-548-4611, extension 134 or e-mail her at gavrielle.josel@pae.nmss.org.
