Call for Entries! 2003 Calendar Contest for Artists
Who Have MS
The National MS Society is seeking
submissions for its 2003 annual art calendar, as part of its ongoing
CREATIVE WILL program for professional artists who have MS across the
country. Artists selected for this popular program will receive a $100
stipend and at least ten copies of the calendar. In addition, their art and
personal stories will be featured as part of a national media campaign,
helping to raise awareness about the need for public support of MS research
and services.
To submit artwork, please follow the
following guidelines:
- Artwork submitted must have been
created since the onset of the artist’s MS;
- Artwork should reflect the theme,
“the healing powers of creativity.” How the artwork accomplishes this
mission is at the artist’s discretion;
- Artwork can be in any two
dimensional media, but must be horizontal in format, since it will be
reproduced on an 8 ˝” by 11” page;
- Artwork should be colorful;
- All artists should submit brief
autobiographies of themselves, including name, address, telephone and
email information and a description of how the artwork fits the theme;
- Artists should submit
reproductions of their work—no original art will be accepted or reviewed.
These reproductions can be slides, photos, color photocopies or color
computer scans of at least 300 dpi resolution;
- Artists who want their entry
materials returned must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and
instructions in the cover letter;
