“The MS
WALK is very important to our organization. Every year it helps raise the
money we need to fund breakthrough research as well as programs for people
with MS. Past research has led to the development of three drugs for the
treatment of the disease—Avonex, Betaseron and Copaxone. This year’s
MS WALK has two goals. In addition to raising funds for research and
client programs, we are trying to educate people about MS and the option
of these new drug treatments,“ says Judith G. Cohen, Greater Delaware
Valley Chapter president.
For those who
need a faster pace, two MS Walks sites offer runs of varying lengths for
joggers of all abilities. On Sunday, April 29, West Goshen Township Park
is sponsoring a 5k run and on May 6, the Philadelphia Museum Of Art site
will hold a 10k run through Fairmount Park. Call for more information or
to register.
