The Philadelphia Jaycees Alumni Association To Hold A Celebrity Roast For KYW-TV3 News Anchor And Chapter Vice-Chairman Larry Kane

Join the Philadelphia Jaycees for its Annual Charity Roast featuring KYW-TV3 News Anchor and Chapter Vice-Chair Larry Kane on Tuesday, October 10, at 5:30 p.m..  Kane’s co- workers, Pat Ciarrocchi and Ukee Washington, will act as the Masters Of Ceremonies for the event at Colleen’s Restaurant, Park Towne Apartments, South Building, 22nd and Ben Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia. Other guest Roasters include: New Jersey State Senator Diane Allen, Radio Personality Jerry Blavat, Philadelphia Daily News Columnist Stu Bykofsky, KYW Feature Reporter Paul Moriarty, Sportscaster Joe Pellegrino and Philadelphia City Councilman Frank Rizzo. Tickets to the event are $60 per person, and tables are available. A portion of the night’s proceeds will be split between the National MS Society and the National Adoption Center. KYW-TV3’s Larry Kane has been one of the region’s most respected broadcast journalists for more than 30 years. Throughout his life, he has interviewed a virtual who’s who of newsmakers, hit the campaign trail for every presidential election since 1973, and been on the spot during breaking news events. Kane recently added  author to his list of accomplishments with the publication of Larry Kane’s Philadelphia, a chronicle of the inside stories behind  in many of his interviews. His book is available from Temple University Press.

Recognized as a leading proponent in the fight against multiple sclerosis, Kane is well known as co-founder of the National MS Society’s MS 150 City To Shore Bike Tour. Thanks to his efforts, the tour is celebrating its 20th anniversary and this year over 4,000 cyclists will pedal for a cure on Saturday and Sunday, September 23 and 24. He is also Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the National MS Society.
